De HAMEL, Egbert - British Association Member - 1884

A manufacturer from England, Egbert de Hamel was born in 1844 and was the last tenant of Middleton Hall. De Hamel was a wealthy manufacturer of industrial tape and webbings and perhaps more excitingly a noted breeder and exhibitor of the Tamworth pig.
