The Bell Barn is a rebuilt heritage site that has transformed from an experimental corporate agricultural enterprise to a cultural landmark depicting the evolution of agriculture in Western Canada. The Bell Barn Society is its caretakers and we invite you to visit and discover the fascinating story of agricultural settlement at the turn of the century.

The Bell Barn is a beautifully realized space that features open space for outdoor venues and a loft with exposed beams upstairs. To discover the rich and extensive history of the Bell Barn, our team has compiled, curated and digitized several historical documents. We are proud to offer an online source of history that illustrates the incredible journey that the Bell Barn has been on since its foundation in 1882.

Field Trips and Personal Tours
Learn more than you expected.
We want the Bell Barn to be a place where visitors can learn to appreciate the local history, the architecture and how the land was developed. To support this, we provide tours and educational programs for the community to discover the history and purpose of the Bell Barn then and now.
We’ve cultivated a learner-friendly environment for students of all ages that encourages the preservation of our past for future generations to enjoy. Or tour through the Bell Barn with a personal guide. You will be treated with an inside look at the various uses and impacts of the barn’s experimental beginnings and how it’s evolved through the years to become the community focal point that it is today
